The 4th IREMCON, which could not be held in 2020 at the JW Marriot Hotel in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, due to the pandemic, will be organized on 21 October 2021 in cooperation with Ifat Eurasia for the 4th time with various participants at WOW Istanbul Hotels&Convention Center under the sponsorship of TAYRAŞ A.Ş. Mr. Mustafa Akalp, Chairman of the Executive Board of IREMCON, pointed out that international authorities will once again meet up in Istanbul to talk about waste management and economy in the fight against global climate change, and stated that the activities related to IREMCON continued at full pace in the international arena. Highlighting that IREMCON is a global brand in its field, Mr. Akalp said, “IREMCON stands out as the world's most important international conference on recycling and waste management.”
Drawing attention to the participation of delegates from 20 countries at the IREMCON International Environment Conference, which was held in 2019, Mr. Akalp said: “Sadulla Duraku, Minister of Environment and Physical Planning of North Macedonia, Fatmir Matoshi, Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning of Kosovo, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Birpınar, Deputy Minister of Environment and Urbanization, joined the IREMCON International Environment Conference.”
Delegates from 20 countries attended the IREMCON International Environment Conference, which was supported by the TR Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, which has recently increased its success rate in the field of environmental management and boosted the recycling economy by taking important initiatives in waste financing.
This year, we witness that many international delegates show great interest in the 4th IREMCON organized in cooperation with IFAT EURASIA. International cooperation plays a vital role in raising environmental awareness and advancing environmental protection at the regional and global level. Integrated waste management plays a key role in the environmental protection efforts and makes a great contribution to the circular economy. The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey, which promotes and fully supports all activities and organizations for environmental protection, officially supported IREMCON this year, as it did in previous years.”
On the other hand, noting that many countries, especially Germany, Macedonia, Romania, Greece, Iran, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia, Lebanon and Russia, participated in the 3rd IREMCON, Mr. Mustafa Akalp stated that they would pay a visit to various countries in July and August within the scope of IREMCON activities.
